  • CABAS: VIN service for Volvo cars
  • CABAS: Potential to register improvement suggestions for CABAS/CAB Plan

CABAS: VIN service for Volvo cars

This release includes the first VIN service in CABAS, for Volvo cars. When performing VIN code searching, spare parts for the calculated vehicle are filtered where possible, which saves time and makes the calculation easier. VIN code searching can easily be used directly from the Owner/Vehicle tab in CABAS.

In the event of hits during VIN code searching, the spare parts for the calculated vehicle are filtered where possible, creating a limited selection. The following Volvo models are matched between Volvo and CABAS:

In addition to matching spare parts, the VIN service provides a great deal of valuable information related to the calculated vehicle. By clicking on the icon on the Owner/Vehicle tab or in the window for position measures, it is possible to utilise detailed vehicle information, including equipment codes and descriptions. This information is provided, even if the model is not matched between CABAS and Volvo.

When a VIN code search achieves a hit, i.e. the model is matched and spare parts are filtered and/or detailed vehicle information for the calculated vehicle is provided, a price is given per transaction according to the price list. When a VIN code does not achieve a hit with Volvo, there is no charge.

CABAS: Potential to register improvement suggestions for CABAS/CAB Plan

This release includes a function that enables CABAS users to register their improvement suggestions directly via the system. This means that it is now easier for CABAS users to submit their suggestions and ideas to the product management and thereby influence future developments in the system.

There is a new icon on the start page in CABAS. By clicking on the icon, a new window is opened containing a web form, which is used to describe the suggestion. Most of the fields are mandatory, to ensure that we have understood and interpreted the improvement suggestion correctly. If necessary, we will also contact the person who has submitted the suggestion in order to ask more questions.

A “Customer forum” will also be created in a later release, where all users can see and vote for the improvement suggestions that are deemed to be possible to implement. The improvement suggestions that receive the most votes provide an indication of what is most important for the market/users, and therefore have a good chance of being implemented.
