Integrity policy – how we handle your personal data
This integrity policy describes CAB’s handling of your personal data and applies when you use CAB’s products or are in contact with us in some other way.
Who is responsible for your personal data?
CAB Group AB, corp. reg. no. 556131–2223, is the personal data controller for the handling of your personal details and is responsible for ensuring that such processing takes place in a secure and lawful manner.
What legal grounds are employed in the handling of your personal data?
CAB handles your personal data lawfully and primarily with the aim of fulfilling an agreement to which you or your employer are a party. Exceptions to this include when you have not entered into an agreement with us but contact us regarding administrative issues or customer service/support, when we base the legal grounds on a balancing of interests. In the event CAB should process your personal data for any purpose that, according to applicable legislation, requires your consent, we will obtain your consent in advance.
How do we gather your personal data?
CAB gathers personal data that you provide to us in conjunction with you e.g. ordering products, using products or requesting support. When you call our support line, we may also record your call for internal training and development purposes. We thereby gather and store all the personal data that arises during the call. You are entitled to request that your call not be recorded. You are also entitled to request that a recording be deleted.
It is sometimes the case that a person provides personal data about one or more other people. We assume that the person who is providing the information has the consent of all these individuals to provide their personal data.
What information is processed?
Personal data that will be processed includes, but is not limited to, username, name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address, date of birth, invoicing information, IP address and/or other information that you have provided to us or that otherwise is necessary in order for us to fulfil our commitments to you.
Why do we process information about you?
We may use your personal data for the following purposes:
In order to administer orders, cancellations, transfers and invoicing.
In order to provide you with access to our products.
- Customer service/Support
In order to provide you with service in the event you e.g. contact us with any questions/opinions.
In order to send out information such as release notes and operating information.
In order to send marketing offers about our products and services, if you have not specified in writing that you do not wish to receive direct marketing.
- Product development
In order to develop our products and services, safeguard technical functionality, keep statistics, log incidents/errors, conduct market and customer analyses, as well as during troubleshooting and testing, all with the aim of offering a better user experience.
Who has access to your personal data?
Your personal data will only be handed by CAB and our personal data assistants. Hired personal data assistants are always bound by written personal data assistant agreements that impose on them the same obligations during the processing of personal data as the obligations that apply according to this integrity policy.
CAB only transfers personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA if the country in question has an adequate security level according to the EU or the European Commission, or if this has been specifically indicated in conjunction with you providing your personal data to us.
We do not provide personal data to other companies unless this is required by law, ordinance or official decision or in order to protect our rights or a third party’s rights.
We never forward, exchange or sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
How long do we save your personal data?
Your personal data is saved for as long as it is required in order for us to fulfil our commitments to you or your employer.
How do we protect your personal data?
CAB has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to protect your personal data against e.g. loss, manipulation or unauthorised access. We continually adapt our security measures in line with ongoing technical developments.
What are your rights?
You are entitled at any time (free of charge once a year) to request information about what personal data we have saved about you.
You are entitled at any time, free of charge, to request that information about you be deleted, supplemented or corrected. You are also entitled to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted to certain purposes and e.g. not be used for direct advertising. However, we cannot delete your information when there is a statutory requirement regarding storage, such as accounting rules.
If your personal details change, please notify CAB about this by sending a message to us. CAB is not responsible for problems that arise as a result of personal data being old or incorrect if you have failed to notify us about the change.
Your request must be in writing and include a handwritten signature, and must contain information about your name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address, corp. reg. number and CID. We need this in order to ensure that we are providing the information to the correct person.

You are also entitled to submit complaints to the Swedish Data Protection Authority, which is the supervisory authority for the processing of personal data.
