CAB - optimizing the line

Cookiepolicy

Here at CAB Group AB (“CAB”), we use cookies and other similar technologies (jointly referred to as “cookies”) on our website to improve your experience with us. For example, we use cookies to simplify and adapt our website according to the visitor’s wishes, choices and interests. Below we explain in greater detail how we use cookies and the choices you can make in relation to our cookies.

CAB’s use of cookies may entail the processing of personal data. You can read more about how we process your personal data in our Integrity policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, phone or tablet (jointly referred to as “computer”). Cookies are set by us or one of our business partners and facilitate basic functions on our website, as well as providing information that helps us to improve your experience of our website and adapt advertisements on other websites.

The lifetime of cookies varies. A permanent cookie saves a file on your computer for a set period of time. When this time has expired, the cookie is deleted from you computer and then recreated the next time you visit the website. The other type is known as a session cookie and is only stored temporarily in your computer’s memory during the time you are on our website. A session cookie disappears when you close your web browser.

Why do we use cookies?

We use cookies to identify you as a unique visitor and thereby to make your activities on our website easier. Cookies allow the website to remember which choices you have made, so that you don’t have to recreate the same settings every time you visit the page. Cookies are also used to provide us with statistics and information about how many visitors we have on our website and which pages they visit. These statistics subsequently become an important part of our ongoing development work regarding the website.

Which cookies does CAB use?

To allow you to learn which cookies are used on our website, and so be able to determine more easily how cookies will be used when you visit our website, we have grouped cookies into three different categories, distinguished on the basis of the purposes for which they are used.

Necessary/functional cookies

Some cookies are necessary to facilitate various functions on the website. These cookies are required in order for our website to work, and they cannot be switched off in our systems. They are normally only stored in response to steps you take in the form of a request for services, e.g. adjusting privacy settings, logging in or filling in forms.

Third party cookies

Third party cookies are set by a party other than the one that is responsible for the website, in this case therefore by a company other than CAB. The purpose of these cookies is to track how visitors move between different websites. These cookies gather information about your activities and interests on our website, and are used by our partners to show you tailored advertisements about our products when you are visiting other websites.

In order to understand and analyse how visitors use our website, we use the tool Google Analytics. The information generated by Google Analytics cookies is stored on servers at Google, and your IP address is truncated. We use these cookies to better understand how the website is being used so that we can improve it. The information is also used for marketing purposes. Google can transfer the saved information to a third party if this is required by law or in those cases where a third party processes the information on Google’s behalf.

We also use the Facebook pixel in order to measure advertisement conversions and use remarketing for advertisements on Facebook.

Consent and your handling of cookies

According to the Electronic Communication Act (2003:389), everyone who visits a website that uses cookies must have access to information about this and how these are used. The visitor must also consent to the use of cookies in respect of all cookies apart from those that relate to necessary functions. You give your consent to CAB’s use of cookies in the banner that is presented to you the first time you visit our website, to which this cookie policy is linked.

By changing the settings in your web browser or device, you can also control the use and the scope of cookies, inspect which cookies are saved and delete saved cookies. Go to the settings for your web browser or device to learn more about how to adjust the settings for cookies. For example, you can choose to block all cookies, only accept certain cookies, or delete cookies when you close your web browser.

Bear in mind that some of our services may not work if you block or delete cookies. If you choose not to allow third party cookies, you will probably see advertisements that are less relevant when you visit other websites.
