CABAS
There are as many answers to this question as there are vehicles and damage incidents. The variables are almost infinite. It depends of course on which vehicle and which spare parts are involved, but also on which technology, material and methodology are relevant. Thanks to our calculation program, CABAS, you can easily and quickly calculate repair times, irrespective of car model or repair needs.
We carry out exhaustive time studies on the whole repair process
The CABAS database contains the results of the real time studies we continually carry out at workshops. From the moment the car enters the workshop until the repair is complete we study the whole process with exacting precision: method, action, tools used, and the time taken to carry out every work operation. This even includes measuring the time taken to fetch spare parts, read instructions and prepare tools. All the data collected is analyzed in order to create a statistically viable base for our formulas in MYSBY, the tool that is used to calculate the operation times for repairs.
New models are scrutinized in minute detail
MYSBY is continually updated when new car models, new materials, new tools or new methods are introduced. We study, measure and analyze real damage repairs to collect reliable information about how long it takes to replace a wide range of vehicle components. We also calculate paint surfaces and painting times for all spare parts which may need to be painted in connection with a repair.
Unique database
CABAS’ unique property is the comprehensive database which contains the statistically validated operation times, painting times, complete spare parts lists including article numbers and prices as well as maneuverable 3D pictures of spare parts, this last simplifying spare part selection for the workshops.
CABAS currently covers about 21,000 car models, about 470,000 spare parts, almost 10 million operation times and slightly more than 48,000 painted surfaces.
CABAS gives you the total repair costs as well as all the important documents
CABAS specifies which spare parts and operations are required for the repair. This means that CABAS supplies the total repair costs as well as the documents that the workshop and the insurance company need to administrate the process in one and the same system.
One communication platform for all parties
CABAS is also a communication platform. When a repair cost calculation and photographs of a damaged vehicle are complete they can be sent directly from the workshop to the insurance company. This quick and smart communication between workshop and insurance company eases and speeds up the handling of the damage incident. Everybody wins: the workshop can quickly start the repair process, the insurance company can quickly assess the damage and this means that the vehicle owner will get their vehicle back as quickly as possible.
